EDITION Residences, Miami Edgewater

EDITION Residences, Miami Edgewater is planned for 2121 North Bayshore Drive, a bayfront site with roughly 800 linear feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay, directly north of Margaret Pace Park. The plan ties the property into the public Miami Baywalk, so residents can walk along the water to the park. It is the first ground-up, standalone residential project from EDITION, the luxury hotel brand, which is slated to manage and operate the building.

Architecture

Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica designed the tower as a slender glass prism rising 55 stories and about 649 feet. Its orientation and materials respond to the site's double waterfront exposure, opening homes to the bay islands, Miami Beach and the Atlantic on one side and the downtown skyline on the other. EDSA is the landscape architect for the gardens and bayfront grounds.

The residences

The tower holds 185 residences, generally four per floor, reached through semi-private elevator lobbies. The published floor plans range from one bedroom plus den to four bedrooms, with roughly 1,919 to 3,760 square feet of interior space. Bayfront Residences occupy floors 3 to 7, Signature Residences floors 10 to 40 and Sky Residences floors 41 to 54. Three tri-level penthouses with private rooftop pools and gardens are planned at the top. Studio Munge designed calm, light-filled interiors with 10- to 12-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling glass, Italkraft kitchens with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, and generous terraces. Homes are delivered fully finished, with options to personalize.

Amenities and service

About 45,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities follow the EDITION hotel model. At ground level are a three-story lobby, social and library lounges, bayfront gardens and a pool deck with food and beverage service. The eighth floor adds a private dining room and lounge, a screening room, an entertainment lounge and a conference room. On the ninth floor, a wellness center combines a full-service spa, steam room and sauna with fitness, yoga and personal-training studios.

Location

Edgewater sits between downtown and the Design District. Wynwood, Midtown and the Design District are a few minutes away, and downtown, the beaches and Miami International Airport are a short drive.
