Miami's Tallest Buildings in 2026, and the Supertalls Rising Now

By Gabriella Gonda · · 6 min read

Panorama Tower is still Miami's tallest finished building at 868 feet, but Cipriani Residences has topped out near 950 feet and the 1,049-foot Waldorf Astoria is on its final cube. The top 10, the towers rising now, and what comes next.

As of November 2026, Panorama Tower in Brickell is the tallest completed building in Miami and in Florida, at 868 feet. Two towers are about to pass it.

  • Cipriani Residences Miami topped out at about 950 feet in July 2026. That makes it the tallest structure on the skyline, though it isn't finished yet.
  • The Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences is designed to reach 1,049 feet, and its ninth and final cube was under way in late summer 2026. It is set to become Florida's first supertall, a building of 300 meters (984 feet) or more.

Below are the ten tallest finished buildings, the towers rising now, and the approved projects that will reshape the skyline next.

The 10 tallest completed buildings in Miami

Heights are to the architectural top, including spires, as listed in Wikipedia's list of the tallest buildings in Miami.

  1. Panorama Tower: 868 ft, 81 to 85 floors, completed 2018. Mixed use, Brickell.

The towers rising now

Five towers under construction will rank among Miami's tallest:

Waldorf Astoria: Florida's first supertall

The Waldorf Astoria tower at 300 Biscayne Boulevard is a stack of nine offset glass cubes.

  • Inside: the lower cubes hold a 205-room Waldorf Astoria hotel, and the upper six hold 360 residences.
  • Construction: by late August 2026 the structure had reached about level 85 and the final cube had begun, according to Florida YIMBY.
  • When complete: at 1,049 feet it will be the tallest building in Florida. See the residences, floor plans and pricing.

Cipriani Residences: the new tallest on the skyline

Arquitectonica's curved 85-story tower at 1420 South Miami Avenue in Brickell topped out at 950 feet in July 2026.

  • Source: the developer lists 85 stories and 950 feet; the project's structural engineer, Thornton Tomasetti, announced the topping out.
  • Ranking: that puts it above Panorama Tower, but it won't count as Miami's tallest completed building until it is finished.
  • The building: it holds 397 residences, with first occupancy expected in summer 2027. Explore Cipriani Residences Miami.

Okan Tower and Baccarat Residences

Okan Tower sits at 555 North Miami Avenue in downtown Miami.

  • Height: it is planned at 902 feet, according to the developer.
  • Inside: it combines Sky Residences, Hilton-managed condo-hotel residences and a Hilton hotel.
  • Progress: it passed its 50th floor in spring 2026. Okan Tower details.

Baccarat Residences rises where the Miami River meets Biscayne Bay. It is a 75-story Arquitectonica tower of about 835 feet and was at floor 40 in March 2026. Baccarat Residences details.

Approved and planned: the next 1,049-foot towers

Several more towers are approved or planned at or near Miami's height ceiling:

  • Citadel's headquarters, 1201 Brickell Bay Drive.
    • Design: a 62-story, 1,049-foot tower by Foster + Partners, developed with Related.
    • Status: the FAA approved its height in 2025.
  • 888 Brickell by Dolce & Gabbana.
    • Design: an 81-story, 1,049-foot tower by JDS Development, designed by Studio Sofield with ODP as architect of record.
    • Status: Miami-Dade County approved it in June 2024.
  • One Bayfront Plaza, 100 South Biscayne Boulevard.
    • Design: a Kohn Pedersen Fox tower for Tibor Hollo's Florida East Coast Realty, planned at roughly 1,000 to 1,049 feet.

How tall can buildings get in Miami?

Miami has no single citywide height cap. Heights are set site by site because downtown and Brickell sit under flight paths for Miami International Airport.

The practical ceiling for the tallest projects is 1,049 feet above sea level. That is the limit cited for the Citadel tower, and the same 1,049-foot figure appears in the plans for the Waldorf Astoria and 888 Brickell. In 2015 the FAA had proposed far lower limits, around 465 to 475 feet, for some sites east of the airport, before later approvals allowed the current supertalls.
